Male and Female Trendsetters

Many of us look to celebrities for trends as they always seem to be a step ahead of the rest of us and they also have access to all of the hottest and newest trends. Male trendsetters are celebrities such as Ryan Gosling, Jay-Z, and Justin Timberlake. All of these men have different styles and dress differently. Ryan Gosling wears tailored Gucci suits when dressing up and when dressing down t-shirts paired with cardigans and worn boots. Jay-Z can be seen wearing fitted cotton t-shirts layered with v-neck sweaters and leather jackets. He dresses laid back and luxurious but never matched. Justin Timberlake can usually be seen wearing a three- piece suit. He usually layers button down shirts with vests and jackets. He likes to mix casual with formal. 

Some of the women trendsetters are Heidi Klum, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Lauren Conrad. All of these women have their own fashion lines and have fabulous looks for day and night. 

Whoever your celebrity fashion crush is they are always evolving their style and many of them are creating clothing lines that you can find for cheap in department stores! 

Feathers and Tinsel

I'm sure many of you have seen the feathers and tinsel in everyone's hair the past few months. This is a huge trend and can be seen every where from the runway to the streets. Girls have been putting these in their hair all over the country. The feathers come in different sizes and colors from yellow to purple and every thing in between. You can get a thin feather, a thick feather, a real feather or a fake feather. Another thing you can do is get tinsel. It's similar to the tinsel you put in a christmas tree but instead you tie it to a few strands of hair and let it sparkle. This trend is not as popular as the feathers but I personally like it better. It's subtle but still noticeable and gives you just a touch of sparkle. You can also get the tinsel in various colors. Cyber Monday

If you missed black friday then there is no need to worry as today is Cyber Monday! Cyber Monday is a lot like black friday except everything is online. This is also good for all of you who are too afraid to venture out on black friday (I don't blame you!) Almost every online shopping website is offering some type of deal. These include free shipping, 20-75% of entire purchases and many more amazing deals. Many of these stores have free shipping throughout the entire holiday season but the deals will not be as good as they are on Cyber Monday. Be sure to do some research and check different websites to see where you can get the best deals. You may be able to get the same item on a different website for way less than you saw on the first one! Cyber Monday is my favorite because you can do all of your shopping right from your home (or work!). We all know how crazy the holidays are and how busy it is at shopping centers and malls so this will save you a lot of trouble! Be sure to check out stores online such as Macy's, Nordstoms, and Lord & Taylor. These stores usually have amazing deals on Cyber Monday!

Be sure to check the shipping date as well! You don't want your christmas presents arriving late!

Black Friday

As I'm sure many of you know this past friday was black friday. A huge day in shopping across the country. This is the friday after thanksgiving where stores open at ridiculous hours and crazy shoppers swarm the malls and other shopping stores like walmart and target. People have actually died on black friday from being trampled. There are riots and fights. If you are one of the people brave enough to venture out on black friday then you are in for some sweet deals. Many stores mark down their prices a significant amount on items that would usually cost a huge amount. Not only do they do this for electronics but you can also find awesome deals on clothing, shoes, and accessories! Keep your eyes out for these awesome deals! Stores like target, Wal-Mart, H&M, Forever 21, Macy's, Nordstroms, Charlotte Russe, Lord & Taylor and many more are offering deals such as 25-50% items! You can also find these deals at stores like Aldo, Bakers, Footlocker, Footaction, and many other shoe stores. If you missed black friday, don't worry. Many of these stores keep these deals going for a few weeks after or even the entire holiday season! Happy Shopping!!!

Put your best foot forward!

Again, my favorite. SHOES! But this time for the winter, which is even more fun because you'll most likely be wearing boots to keep your feet warm! From Ugg boots, high heeled boots, fur boots, flat boots, riding boots, snow boots, rain boots, combat boots, short boots, and tall boots...you have a lot to choose from! This includes men as well.

Baby, it's cold outside!

The cold weather has finally approached us. As I know many of you are dreading this weather and wishing that you could just hibernate for the winter season. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen and if you have that opportunity, kudos to you! But for the majority of us we are stuck here in cold weather counting down the days until we can go to the beach. I think we should embrace the cold weather while it's here! It's not all bad, it is the holiday season of course which gives us all an excuse to dress up! (and c'mon, who doesn't love to dress up?!) Winter is a season full of scarves, gloves, hats, coats, and anything else that will you warm you up. Let's stop dreading the cold and have some fun with the necessities to stay warm!

Have fun with scarves! Mix it up with fur, knit, fleece, pastels, and dark! You have so many to choose from! Men can wear these scarves as well!

Gloves! The same goes for this, everyone needs a good pair of gloves to keep your fingers and hands warm in the winter. You have so many to choose from--leather, fur, cotton, fleece, bright, bold, designed, fingerless. There are so many options, and you can never have too many gloves! 

Hats are always in no matter the season! You can have so much fun with hats and you have an excuse not to do your hair! 

And for men! 

Coats are the most fun for winter. You'll be wearing it more than anything else in your closet and it's important that it keeps you warm and also goes well with the other things in your closet! A hot winter coat trend is fur but I know not everyone is a fur lover!

Shoes

Ah! My biggest weakness (and I'm sure many of yours!), shoes. Shoes can do so much to an outfit. Whether bad or good. They tie everything together. They can dress an outfit up or dress an outfit down. I know every girl has though this before "heels or not?" That is one of the biggest questions I ask myself when finishing an outfit. If you're going for comfort, go with flats. No one wants to be walking around for hours in 5 inch heels. Also, when are heels appropriate? Can you wear them to a family dinner? What about to class? Really, you can wear them whenever you want but there are also flat shoes that can do the same heels do, without the pain of course. Some of the fall 2011 shoe trends include colors such as black, white, stone, metallic, beige, burgundy, dark blue, chocolate, deep violet, khaki, and red. The materials used for shoes now are much different than they used to be but this season reptile skin, patent leather, suede, and satin. In a lot of the shoes for this upcoming fall and winter you will notice that platforms and wedges are sticking around as well as lacing, buckles, chunky heels, spike heels, and wearing socks in your heels!
